Thala Beach Nature Reserve is an Eco-friendly wildlife retreat and secluded beachfront sanctuary set on over 140 acres of native forest near Port Douglas. Boasting private access to 2 km of sandy beach, the reserve commands sweeping views of the Great Barrier Reef, rainforest-clad mountains, and the sparkling Coral Sea. It is conveniently located within 10 minutes' drive of Port Douglas, approximately 45 minutes' drive from Cairns City Centre, and 60 minutes from Cairns International Airport.
The property features an organic coconut plantation and natural swimming pools formed by granite boulders and waterfalls. Guests can explore the nearby Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest, and enjoy free guided nature tours including Coconut Odyssey, stargazing at an outdoor observatory, wildlife walks, and bird-watching tours.
Accommodation consists of 83 individually decorated boutique timber bungalows, offering ocean, mountain, or forest views. Each bungalow features a private furnished balcony or patio, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, minibar, refrigerator, and coffee/tea making facilities. Bathrooms include separate bathtubs and showers, complimentary toiletries, hair dryers, and bathrobes.
