Hotel Spongiola, a 4-star property established in 2005, is uniquely situated on the car-free island of Krapanj, nestled on the coast and surrounded by a beautiful pine forest. Built on the grounds of an old sponge cooperative, it is the only hotel on the island, reflecting the traditional sponge harvesting and fishing heritage of the islanders.
The island is accessible by boat from the mainland near Brodarica, approximately 400 meters away. Guests arriving by car can utilize a guarded parking lot on the mainland with 50 spaces, which includes a complimentary boat transfer to the hotel. A free 24-hour train station pick-up service is also available.
The hotel offers 23 air-conditioned guestrooms, comprising suites, double, and triple rooms. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom (featuring a shower/tub combination, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries), satellite TV, minibar, safe, telephone, and complimentary wireless internet access. Many rooms also feature a balcony or terrace.
Renowned as a diving centre, Hotel Spongiola provides state-of-the-art diving equipment. Guests can relax at the full-service spa and wellness centre, featuring an indoor pool, hot tub, infrared sauna, solarium, and fitness studio, with massage services and spa treatments available. Complimentary sunshades and chairs are provided. Recreational activities include aqua aerobics, water skiing, windsurfing, kayaking, banana boating, jet-skiing, motor boating, and sailing. Excursions to national parks such as Kornati, Krka, Paklenica, and Plitvice Lakes can be organized.
Dining options include an à la carte restaurant serving authentic dishes, a café, a bar/lounge, and a beach bar. A complimentary full breakfast is served daily from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Limited-hour room service is available.
