Hotel Overview

Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos is a unique hotel located on the Arctic Circle, approximately 30 minutes’ drive from central Rovaniemi. The property offers two distinct accommodation experiences: Glass Igloos and a SnowHotel built entirely from snow and ice.

Glass Igloos provide a warm and comfortable stay surrounded by Arctic nature. Each igloo features underfloor heating, a thermal glass roof with wide views of the sky, and a private bathroom with a shower. The glass design allows guests to enjoy the Northern Lights when conditions allow, while staying indoors.

SnowHotel rooms offer a one-of-a-kind overnight experience in sub-zero conditions. The indoor temperature remains between 0 and -5°C regardless of outdoor weather. Rooms include electric lighting, while bathroom and shower facilities are shared. Guests receive high-quality Arctic sleeping bags and join a guided tour upon arrival. SnowHotel rooms are open for daytime visits from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, allowing guests to explore the ice art and room designs. After 9:00 PM, rooms are reserved for overnight guests. Due to the cold indoor temperature, a one-night stay is recommended.

An Aurora Borealis alarm service is available to notify guests if the Northern Lights appear during the night.

The hotel offers several relaxation facilities, including a sauna by Lake Lehtojärvi, a snow sauna, and outdoor jacuzzis. Dining is available on site with three restaurants and an Ice Bar, serving Lappish cuisine made with local ingredients.

Winter activities such as snowshoeing and ice fishing with a local guide can be arranged on site. From mid-December to the end of March, guests have free access to the SnowHotel when staying in glass igloos. Transfers to and from Rovaniemi city center or Rovaniemi Airport (approximately 35 km away) can be arranged upon request with additional fee.
