The five-star Makarem Ajyad Makkah Hotel, officially rated by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, is an Art Deco establishment catering to Hajj, Ramadan, Umrah Pilgrims, as well as Leisure and Business Travelers. Opened in 1983, the hotel underwent extensive renovations in 2008, which included a new entrance on Ajyad Street and Haram Al-Sharif, new restaurants, and upgraded rooms and suites.
