Diamonds Mapenzi Beach is an all-inclusive beach resort situated directly on the Kiwengwa shoreline on Zanzibar's east coast, surrounded by luxurious gardens with tall palm trees.
The resort features 87 air-conditioned rooms, each furnished in a traditional East African style. Guests can enjoy a spacious private patio, minibar, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom equipped with a shower, complimentary toiletries, and a hair dryer. Mosquito nets are provided, and select rooms may also offer a balcony or terrace, television, coffee/tea maker, bottled water, bathrobes, and towels.
Dining options include three restaurants: Ocean Reef Beach Grill, the main restaurant, serving lavish breakfast, lunch, and dinner with weekly theme nights; Nakupenda Pizzeria for fresh pizzas and salads; and Suli-Suli Restaurant offering an à la carte menu. Guests can unwind at the bar/lounge, beach bar, or poolside bar. The all-inclusive package covers meals and beverages at onsite dining establishments, with some exceptions.
Recreational amenities abound, including an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and direct access to the beach for water activities arranged by the water sports center. For relaxation, the resort's spa offers massages, body treatments, and facials. Tours and excursions, such as safaris to Tanzania, can also be arranged.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort and in all rooms. Services include a 24-hour front desk, concierge service, luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, dry cleaning/laundry services, an on-site laundromat, room service, and daily housekeeping. For transportation, guests can utilize airport transfer services, taxi, shuttle, and complimentary self-parking. The resort also offers tour/ticket assistance and features a banquet hall. Smoking is prohibited within the resort, with designated smoking zones available.
Diamonds Mapenzi Beach is approximately 45 km (28-28.2 miles) from Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ). It is located on Kiwengwa Beach, a short drive from Pwani Mchangani Beach, and approximately 29-30 km from Nungwi Beach. Mnemba Island is about 14.5 km away.
